Where the fruit speaks for itself…

Spread over an area of 8 hectares in one piece, the vineyard is planted with 5000 vines per hectare. The soil is sandy loam with ruby reds. It is exposed on a hill overlooking the valley of the Isle and the space between the rows is respected for maximum sunshine exposure of the grapes. A cut in short cords is practiced on the vines in order to obtain a homogeneous distribution of the grapes.

Cabernet Sauvignon
Grape bringing color and longevity in the mouth. Traditionally grown in the appellation Bordeaux, Cabernet Sauvignon flavors pair in perfect harmony with Cabernet Franc and Merlot; By structuring the wine, this grape variety brings to Grand Français a good aging potential.

Cabernet franc
This variety, which is more delicate to work with, is by its proportions an originality in the composition of the Grand Français vineyard. The attention which must be paid has led many people to minimize its presence. Its advantage, however, is undeniable to provide a soft and fruity character.

Merlot
This variety of grapes is famous for its contribution of color and flavors of red fruits. It is an essential basis for a good balance between roundness, fruitiness and longevity in the mouth. Its flavors are delicate, bringing the scent of fresh fruit so popular.
